In the earlier days of the Internet security was a major concern for most of us. Our first forays into buying products online were nervy ones, a brave new world with worries over credit card security.

Of course we have far more confidence in online security now. I think online banking has been responsible in a major way for this. Millions of us now access online banking and are used dealing with sensitive and personal matters online.

However, we shouldn't be complacent. Security is and still remains an issue. Hackers find increasingly sophisticated ways to access things that they shouldn't.

The answer is improved security. But that comes at a price. The stronger the security employed to gain access to a site the less usable it becomes.

Again though if we take a leaf from the banks, business banking without fail employ multiple levels of security. This is simply "the only option".

Very aware of the usability option we will be making a number of changes to the security on our ePaysafe payroll site over the next few months.
