Tired of manually keying in data on pension portals or having to manipulate csv files?

Dataplan Payroll has the solution.

We are always looking for ways to improve and automate processes. So, when NEST announced they were developing an Automated Programming Interface (API), we wanted to work with them.

API allows our payroll software to communicate with NEST to send and receive pension information.

The benefits of an API

With the API, we can enrol workers and upload pension contributions straight from our payroll software at the click of a button following some pretty high tech validation.

  • Speeds up the process
  • Reduces errors
  • Reduces risk of penalties from The Pension Regulator as deadlines are met
  • Improved accuracy ensures every employee has the correct amount in their pension pot

Keep on top of opt-outs

The API also allows seamless integration with changes in employee pension wishes.

Gone are the days of having to check regularly on the portal to see if an employee has opted out. If an employee opts out or wishes to stop making contributions we will see it in our payroll software and be able to make the changes in the next pay period.

Watch this space for roll out of this solution to other pension providers

We love this solution so much that we are working with other pension providers, to build it for their portals. We currently have over 250 clients, with 6000 employees enrolled into NEST between them, using this service.

Just like our ambitions, this service does not stop at just NEST. We offer a fully managed payroll and pension’s service working with the following pension providers:

  • The Peoples Pension
  • Scottish Widows
  • Aviva
  • Aegon
  • Royal London
  • NOW Pensions
  • And many others

Not only can we fully manage the portal and calculate pension deductions, we can generate the communications to staff, complete your declarations with The Pensions Regulator and – when legislation changes (such as the increases to minimum contributions in April) – we will ensure that your scheme is prepared.

We offer customers the option to have paper employee communications or us our ePayslips solution to give the customer the tailored payroll and pensions service they need.
