With the upturn in employment and the UK economy seemingly in a positive state more employers are now looking to employ new staff or look to take on via the apprenticeship route.

A grant of £1,500 is now available for businesses with up to 1,000 employees to recruit an apprentice aged between 16-24 years of age who is currently not in full time education. To qualify for the employment grant, companies must not have recruited any previous apprentice staff within the last 12 months and must commit to take on the apprentice for a minimum of a year or for the length of the Apprenticeship, whichever is greater.
