As you probably noticed from Stewart's blog yesterday it seems like HMRC have changed something in their software, probably something minor, but it potentially has a big impact on us.

The coding notices that have been issued this week all seem to have replaced the client name with our name.

Also coding notice changes that were previously collected electronically are now being delivered by post.

This seems innocuous but when you multiply this up by the tens of thousands of employees that we act for that's an awful lot of post that we can't match to clients.

We can look up the PAYE scheme in our systems. But it does mean a great deal of extra work.
